TODAY: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Harrisburg Senators will meet in the finale of a four-game series...Outfielder Roger Kieschnick connected on a line-drive, two-out base hit to drive in Skyler Stromsmoe from second base as the Flying Squirrels walked off with a 4-3 on Sunday night in front of 6,624 fans at The Diamond.

FLAIR FOR THE DRAMATIC: The Flying Squirrels walked off with a win for the sixth time this season and the third time on the current homestand with last night's 4-3 win over Harrisburg...In addition to outfielder Roger Kieschnick's walkoff RBI single last night, the club has also gotten a walkoff grand slam from outfielder Francisco Peguero in the bottom of the seventh inning on the Tuesday night and a walkoff sacrifice fly from shortstop Nick Noonan in game one of the doubleheader with Trenton on Thursday...Richmond improved to 10-15 in one-run games and is 28-30 in games decided by three runs or less.

#WINNING: The Flying Squirrels matched their high water mark of the season, improving to seven games over .500 at 47-40 with last night's 4-3 win over Harrisburg...The club was also seven games over .500 following its win in game one of Saturday's doubleheader with the Senators...The best record in the two-year history of the franchise is nine games over .500 when the team was 22-13 last season...Richmond has won six of seven games on its current eight-game homestand after losing three straight in Reading.

KING OF THE K: Left-hander Eric Surkamp struck out 12 Harrisburg batters last night, setting a new single-game franchise record...He topped his previous mark of 11 strikeouts which is set in his previous outing 7/4 against Trenton...The 23-year-old has struck out 114 batters this season, already passing right-hander David Mixon's single-season franchise mark of 112...Surkamp was named the Eastern League's Pitcher of the Week, making it the second time this season he has won the award (5/2-5/8).

DEFENDING THE NEST: The Flying Squirrels today will wrap up a stretch where they have played 19 out of 26 games at home...Through the first 25 games of that stretch, Richmond is 16-9 including an 13-5 mark at home...The club is 32-16 overall at home and is batting .260 in 48 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.60 runs per game at home (221R/48G)...Overall, the club is 15-24 on the road, and is batting .207 and averaging 3.33 runs per game (130R/39G) in 39 road contests.

PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 3.00 ERA through 87 games and has allowed a league-low 305 runs...Richmond's pitching staff has allowed two runs or less in 34 of its 87 games (39%)...Starting pitching has allowed three runs or less in 64 of the team's 87 games (74%) and the club is 42-22 in those contests...The club's 3.00 ERA is the lowest among all of the full-season MiLB teams.
