Baysox Celebrate Oktoberfest

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today the Oktoberfest Beer Dinner at Prince George's Stadium Wednesday, Aug. 3, as the team takes on the Portland Sea Dogs at 7:05 p.m. The event takes place in the Diamond View Restaurant at Prince George's Stadium and features a two-hour buffet and three-hour open bar.
Baysox Community Programs Manager Dana DeFilippo organized the dinner. "This is the beer dinner that everyone really looks forward to," DeFilippo said. "What can be better than the delicious food, the German beer, and great view of the exciting baseball action all in air-conditioned interior of the restaurant. What could be better=3F"
The buffet starts at 6 p.m. and features tossed mix greens, steamed shrimp in Spaten lager beer, roasted pork loin with braised cabbage in bier sauce, Salmon Curran, mock braten, pilsner braised brats and onions, roasted mixed summer vegetables, warm German potato salad and apple strudel crunch with vanilla ice cream. The open bar also begins serving at 6 p.m. and includes Spaten Oktoberfest on draft, Spaten lager, Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse, Spaten Optimator, Spaten Munich Dunkel, Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse Dunkel and assorted bottled and draft beers. Soft drinks and water are also available.
