Dekanich Recalled by Nashville

Milwaukee, WI-Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Mark Dekanich from the Milwaukee Admirals. In addition, the Admirals have recalled goaltender Chet Pickard from the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL).

Dekanich will be making his second 2010-11 appearance with the Predators - he backed up rookie netminder Anders Lindback for three games during a five-day recall to Nashville from Oct. 12-17. The North Vancouver, B.C., native has posted three shutouts in his last eight starts for the Admirals, and recently set a franchise record with a 209:31 shutout streak from Nov. 7-18. Nashville's third choice (146th overall) in the 2006 Entry Draft is ranked second in the League in shutouts (3) and wins (tie, 10), in addition to fourth in save percentage (.941) and goals-against average (1.71).

Pickard began the season with the Admirals and was 0-3-1 with a .885 goals against average and a 3.47 save percentage before heading to Cincinnati where he has tallied a 1-4-2 record with a 3.50 GAA and a .879 save percentage. The Winnipeg, MB native spent his rookie season in Milwaukee last year, posting a 14-16-3 record with a .892 save percentage and a 2.85 GAA.

The Admirals host the Grand Rapids Griffins tonight at 7:00 pm with a post-game concert featuring the Village People immediately following.
