In Thursday's only action, Cody Almond recorded three points (1-2-3) in regulation and Jon DiSalvatore notched the winning shootout goal as Houston rallied past Rockford, 4-3... On Wednesday, Dustin Jeffrey stayed hot with two goals and an assist to power Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to a 5-1 win in Albany... Chris Mueller also recorded two goals and a helper as Milwaukee returned home and doubled up Manitoba by a 5-3 count.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Peoria takes its six-game points streak (5-0-1-0) on the road Friday to battle North Division-leading Hamilton, which owns a 9-2-1-0 mark at Copps Coliseum this season... The Rivermen, who are 7-3-0-1 on the road, sit one point back of San Antonio for first place in the West Division race... This game could feature two of the AHL's top goaltenders in Rivermen rookie Jake Allen (8-1-0, 1.27, .962, 4 SO) and Bulldogs veteran Curtis Sanford (8-1-0, 1.58, .943), both of whom are among the top-five in both goals-against average and save percentage... Derek Nesbitt has recorded eight points (3-5-8) in nine games since joining the Peoria lineup, while defenseman Nathan Oystrick shows four points (1-3-4) in his last four contests... Hamilton third-year pro Max Pacioretty has erupted for nine goals and 11 points in his last six games, and the former first-round draft pick is tied for third in the AHL in goals (13) and tied for second in points (27)... David Desharnais also boasts 27 points (7-20-27) for the Bulldogs, including 1-3-4 totals for his last two games... Peoria boasts the AHL's top-ranked penalty kill (89.1 percent), while Hamilton is tied for ninth on the power play (19.2 percent).
Norfolk, which is 5-2-0-0 in its last seven games, visits the Atlantic Division's top two teams this weekend, traveling to first-place Manchester on Friday and second-place Portland on Saturday... The Admirals are 2-1-0-0 thus far on a six-game road trip, which ends on Sunday in Springfield... Johan Harju paces the Ads with 13 goals and 23 points, and he has put up 6-1-7 in five games since returning from NHL recall... Norfolk's Mike Angelidis has recorded six points (3-3-6) in his last seven contests, and Stefano Giliati shows seven points (2-5-7) in his last six outings... Manchester enters on a four-game winning streak and is 8-1-0-0 in its last nine games to overtake Portland for the division's top spot... Oscar Moller is riding an eight-game scoring run (5-6-11) for the Monarchs, the AHL's longest active streak... Andrei Loktionov has registered eight points (1-7-8) in his last three outings and a team-best 17 points (3-14-17) in just 14 games overall, and fellow second-year pro Corey Elkins has 2-4-6 in his past three games... The Admirals own a 13-4-1-2 record vs. Manchester over the past five seasons, including a 7-1-0-2 record at Verizon Wireless Arena during that span.
Division rivals Bridgeport and Springfield tangle for the third time this season on Friday at the MassMutual Center... Each squad has taken a victory from the other on home ice thus far... The Sound Tigers have a point in a season-best five straight games (3-0-1-1) to climb into fifth place in the Atlantic Division, one point back of the fourth-place Falcons, who are 1-4-0-0 in their last five... Bridgeport rookie David Ullstrom has three points (1-2-3) in his last two games after recording just 0-3-3 in his previous 11 contests... Ullstrom has totaled 13 points (5-8-13) for the season, three back of fellow rookie Rhett Rakhshani (7-9-16) for the club lead... The Falcons have also been led by a pair of first-year pros - Matt Calvert (9-8-17) and Tomas Kubalik (9-6-15), and that pair has combined for eight points (5-3-8) in two previous games vs. Bridgeport this season... Veteran Dane Byers has put up nine points (2-5-7) in 10 games for Springfield since arriving via trade... Bridgeport is only 2-8-0-1 on the road this season.

On Wednesday, Jeff Tambellini, who has 5-2-7 in seven games for AHL Manitoba this year, posted a goal and an assist as Vancouver routed Calgary, 7-2.
BY THE NUMBERS:
13 -- Consecutive games without a goal for Oklahoma City's Alexandre Giroux, who totaled 110 regular-season goals for Hershey the past two seasons... The Barons end a five-game road trip with a pair of tilts in Manitoba this weekend.
