Anaheim Ducks Recall Left Wing Matt Beleskey

Syracuse, NY (December 3, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have recalled left wing Matt Beleskey.

Beleskey, 22, has appeared in nine games with the Crunch this season, posting eight points (4g, 4a) and 11 penalty minutes. He is tied for the Crunch team lead with three (3) multiple-point games this year, with Syracuse going 2-0-0-1 during those contests. In addition, Beleskey has skated in 10 games with Anaheim this season, recording two assists and two penalty minutes.

A native of Windsor, Ontario, Beleskey appeared in 257 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) contests with Belleville from 2004-08 prior to turning pro, accumulating 221 points (98g, 123a) and 467 penalty minutes. He was selected by Anaheim in the fourth round, 112th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch's next game in on Friday, December 3 vs. Rochester at 7:35 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena.
