Daigneault Sent From Hershey

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


North Charleston, SC South Carolina Stingrays Head Coach Jason Fitzsimmons announced today that Maxime Daigneault has been sent back to the team from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League. Daigneault will fill the void left by Kirk Daubenspeck, who was called up to the Bears on Monday.

Daigneault had a record of 0-1-2 with the Bears with a goals against average of 2.21 and a save percentage of .909. He has a record of 13-10-7 this season with the Stingrays, along with a goals against average of 3.15 and a save percentage of .905%. Daigneault has won his last two starts with the Rays, with a goals against average of 2.06 in those two games.

"Maxime is coming back to us with renewed confidence," commented Stingrays Head Coach Jason Fitzsimmons. "He played very well in his three games in the American League; we are hoping that he can have continued success with us as we push toward the playoffs."

The Stingrays will continue a three game road trip with two games in Pensacola this Friday and Saturday night. The Rays will return home to host the Columbia Inferno on Sunday, March 19th at 3:00. Sunday is "Kids Day" with free tickets for kids, courtesy of Chick Fil A on Dorchester Rd. The Stanley Cup will be on hand at the game and March Madness continues with dollar parking and dollar beers as well as skate with the Rays after the game, presented by the Carolina Ice Palace.
