Phoenix RoadRunners News Release

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL have traded forward Joe Dusbabek and defenseman Brent Henley to the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for future considerations.

"Brent and Joe have been tremendous leaders this year and I wish them nothing but the best for the remainder of the season," said RoadRunners General Manager and Head Coach Ron Filion. "Once again, my focus is now on building a competitive team for next year and I think we've accomplished that with the impact players we will receive through this deal once the playoffs are over. Much like the situation with Mike Mole, Brent and Joe will be free agents in the summer and we hope to bring them back for the 2006-07 season."

Dusbabek, 27, was the RoadRunners second leading scoring with 10 goals and 24 points in 49 games. The Fairbault, Minn. native and sixth-year professional signed with Phoenix in the summer after collecting 11 goals and 33 points in 71 games with the Quad City Mallards of the United Hockey League last season. Dusbabek has 84 goals and 227 points in 356 career games.

Henley, 26, ranks second in the ECHL with 271 penalty minutes. The Coquitlam, British Columbia native and fifth-year professional signed a free agent contract with the RoadRunners on November 7 after being released from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League. In 248 career games, Henley has 2099 penalty minutes.

Phoenix returns to US Airways Center at 7:11PM tonight as they open a two-game series with the Las Vegas Wranglers. The RoadRunners are teaming up with Radio Disney AM 1580 for a Junior St. Paddy's Day Celebration. Radio Disney performers "RD Frequency" will perform outside on the US Airways Center Plaza from 6PM-7:15PM and on the ice during the first intermission while playing games and handing out great prizes throughout the evening.
