JOHNSTOWN, Pennsylvania - The Cincinnati Cyclones picked up their ninth win in the last eleven games (9-1-1) with a 5-3 win over Johnstown on Friday night. Barret Ehgoetz netted a pair of goals and added an assist, while Cedrick Desjardins stopped 17 shots and had an assist in the triump.

Johnstown scored the lone goal of the period when Randy Rowe tallied his sixth goal of the season at 10:12 on the power play. Brian Deeth and Kenny Roche added the assists. Rowe collected his own rebound off the pads of Cyclones netminder Cedrick Desjardins to score.

Cincinnati exploded for four second period scores to establish control in the game. Barret Ehgoetz netted his eighth and ninth goals of the season at 1:01 and 3:18 of the stanza. Scott Reynolds and Cedrick Desjardins had the assists on the first goal and Thomas Beauregard had the helper on the second. The lead was pushed out to 3-1, when Cory Urquhart picked up his second goal of the campaign at 9:14, a redirection of a shot. Tyler Howells added the assist on the lamplighter. Johnstown narrowed the lead to 3-2, when Jean Desrosiers picked up his eleventh goal at 15:37. Jean-Michel Daoust scored on the power play at 17:53 from Matt Syroczynski and Avery Wilson.

For Daoust, it was the sixth straight game that he has netted a goal. In that stretch of games, Jean-Michel has ten goals and two assists for twelve points.

In the third period, Reynolds netted his ninth goal from Matt Macdonald and Ehgoetz at 2:17. Just 23 seconds later (at 2:40), Tyler Hirsch scored his second goal of the season for Johnstown to close out the scoring and make the final score, 5-3.

The Cyclones are 19-6-2, while Johnstown is 10-15-1. The win was Cincinnati's eighth in eleven games away from U.S. Bank Arena and moves the team into sole possession of first place in the North Division of the American Conference (pending Elmira's game tonight). It was the first game of a six-game road trip that will carry into the new year.

The Cyclones close out the weekend with a 7pm contest at Johnstown on Saturday, December 22. The club will enjoy a few days off for the holidays before visiting Wheeling next Thursday (Dec. 27).
