PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, are pleased to announce that second-year defenseman Brian Yandle and rookie center Peder Skinner have been selected to the National Conference roster that will participate at the 2008 Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Game Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at Stockton Arena in Stockton, Calif.

It's the first all-star selection for Yandle, 24, who leads all RoadRunners' defensemen and ranks tied for 10th among ECHL blue-liners with five goals and 16 points in 26 games. The Milton, Mass. native tallied four goals and 14 points in just 28 games as a rookie in 2006-07 after missing 39 games following a serious leg injury. Yandle was a two-time Hockey East All-Star and Second Team All-American at the University of New Hampshire.

Skinner, 21, also receives his first all-star selection. The Isle-aux-Morts, Newfoundland native leads all RoadRunners' rookies with seven goals and 17 points through 26 games. Skinner finished third last season in scoring with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League after totaling 29 goals and 70 points in 60 games. He was named the 2004 Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League Player of the Year after recording a junior-best 34 goals and 83 points in 45 games during the 2003-04 season with the St. Michael's Buzzers.

There are 12 rookies on the National Conference roster and only four of the 21 players have ever been selected to an ECHL All-Star Game.
