Morin was named Thursday to the American Conference for the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game, while fellow rookie Jean-Claude Sawyer was selected from Pensacola ... Werner has collected 13 points (3g, 10a) over the last eight contests ... South Carolina has scored seven short-handed goals in 2007-08, tied for the most in the ECHL ... RW Steve Pinizzotto saw his six-game point streak end Wednesday ... The Stingrays have outshot their opponents in 10 of their last 11 contests ... Werner, Matt Scherer, and Paul McIlveen have tallied points in all three games versus Pensacola this season ... South Carolina is 8-3 this season when scoring the game's first goal.

The Stingrays extended their win streak to seven games with a 6-1 victory over Pensacola Wednesday night at the North Charleston Coliseum. Chris Chaput registered a season-high four goals, Pierre-Luc O'Brien collected three assists, and goaltender Davis Parley stopped 21 of 22 shots as South Carolina sent the Ice Pilots to their third straight loss.
