Pensacola Ice Pilots (4-17-3) at South Carolina Stingrays (14-9-1) 7:05 ET
- Stingrays won 6-1 Wednesday to improve to 3-0-0 in season series and 22-8-2 all-time against Pensacola.
- Mike Sgroi leads Pensacola with three goals and three points against South Carolina.
- Chris Chaput had four goals for South Carolina on Wednesday against Pensacola.
- Erik Fabian had a goal for the Ice Pilots on Wednesday against South Carolina.



Cincinnati Cyclones (18-6-2) at Johnstown Chiefs (10-14-1) 7:05 ET
- Cincinnati is 3-0-0 this season against Johnstown and 22-11-4 all-time against the Chiefs.
- Johnstown is 4-0-1 in one-goal games.
- Barret Ehgoetz leads the Cyclones with eight assists and nine points against Johnstown.
- Andrew Martens (1g-2a) and Tyler Hirsch (3a) lead the Chiefs against Cincinnati with three points each.



Columbia Inferno (10-11-6) at Florida Everblades (14-9-2) 7:30 ET
- Florida is 3-1-0 this season against Columbia and 28-13-7 all-time against the Inferno.
- Columbia is 8-0-1 when leading after the second period.
- Ernie Hartlieb has five points (3g-2a) for the Everblades against Columbia.
- Patrick Wellar leads Columbia against Florida with three goals and is tied for team lead with three points.



Dayton Bombers (12-7-6) at Trenton Devils (9-15-1) 7:30 ET
- Dayton is 2-0-1 this season against Trenton and 19-33-6 all-time against the Devils.
- Trenton ranks eighth in the ECHL on the power play with 19.2 percent (23-for-120).
- Bombers' Rejean Beauchemin is 2-0-1 with a 2.31 goals-against in thee games against Trenton.
- Ryan Gunderson leads the Devils against Dayton with three assists and four points.



Charlotte Checkers (11-8-3) at Augusta Lynx (14-19-3) 7:35 ET
- Augusta won 3-2 on Dec. 14 and is 1-1-0 in the season series and 31-22-4 all-time against Charlotte.
- Charlotte is 4-1-2 when out shooting their opponents.
- Lynx's Bobby Goepfert is 1-0-0 with a 2.00 goals-against in one game against Charlotte.
- Chris Capraro leads the Checkers with two goals and three points against Augusta.



Elmira Jackals (18-6-2) at Wheeling Nailers (9-14-3) 7:35 ET
- Elmira is 2-0-0 against Wheeling.
- Wheeling ranks second in the ECHL on the power play at home with 26.8 percent (19-for-71).
- Jackals' Joel Martin is 2-0-0 with a 1.54 goals-against in two games against Wheeling.
- Nailers' Sean Collins is tied for the team lead with two points (2a) in two games against Elmira.



Mississippi Sea Wolves (8-16-2) at Texas Wildcatters (21-2-4) 7:30 CT
- Texas is 3-0-0 this season against Mississippi and 7-20-2 all-time against the Sea Wolves.
- Mississippi is 5-1-0 when leading after the second period.
- Brandon Benedict and John McNabb lead the Wildcatters against Mississippi with two assists.
- Matt Deschamps and Ryan Menei each have a goal for the Sea Wolves against Texas.



Las Vegas Wranglers (20-2-3) at Idaho Steelheads (10-9-7) 7:10 MT
- Las Vegas won 3-0 on Dec.19 to lead the season 3-0-1 and improve to 21-10-9 all-time with Idaho.
- Idaho is 9-1-4 when scoring first.
- Wranglers' Daniel Manzato recorded his second shutout of the season against Idaho on Dec.19.
- Steelheads' Lance Galbraith and Taggart Desmet each have a goal and an assist against Las Vegas.



Alaska Aces (15-8-2) at Victoria Salmon Kings (17-7-1) 7:00 PT
- Alaska won 4-3 in a shootout on Dec. 19 and is 1-0-0 this season and 25-3-4 all-time with Victoria.
- Victoria is fifth in the ECHL on the power play with 21.0 percent (30-for-143).
- Aces' Tim Spencer has two goals on three shots in one game against Victoria.
- Marc-Andre Bernier leads the Salmon Kings with two points (1g-1a) in one game against Alaska



Bakersfield Condors (6-15-5) at Stockton Thunder (10-13-2) 7:30 PT
- Bakersfield is 2-0-0 this season against Stockton and 12-5-1 all-time against the Thunder.
- Stockton is 6-3-0 when leading after the first period.
- Brett Lutes leads the Condors against Stockton with three assists and three points.
- Jacob Micflikier leads the Thunder against Bakersfield with three assists and three points.

- Celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2007-08, the ECHL is the third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League.

- ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league with 25 teams playing 900 games in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08.

- The league officially changed its name to ECHL on May 19, 2003.

- Affiliations with 26 of the 30 teams in the National Hockey League, marking the 11th consecutive season that the league has had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.

- 337 former ECHL players have played in NHL.

- There were 69 former ECHL players on NHL opening-day rosters and there have been 192 former ECHL players who have played their first game in the NHL in the past six seasons.

- Twenty-six former ECHL players made their NHL debut in 2006-07, including two who played in both the ECHL and the NHL as goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji played for Reading and Los Angeles while defenseman Bryan Young skated for Stockton and Edmonton. Dave McKee played for Augusta and dressed for five games as the backup goaltender for Stanley Cup champion Anaheim.

- Eight former ECHL players have made their NHL debut this season: former Roanoke Express and former Wheeling Nailers left wing goaltender Jason Jaffray (Vancouver on Dec. 12), former Toledo Storm goaltender Drew MacIntyre (Vancouver on Dec. 13), former Johnstown Chiefs and Fresno Falcons goaltender Dmitri Patzold (San Jose on Oct. 7), former Reading Royals goaltender Jonathan Quick (Los Angeles on Dec. 6), former Stockton left wing Liam Reddox (Edmonton on Dec. 7), former San Diego goaltender Tyler Weiman (Colorado on Oct. 4), former Charlotte right wing Craig Weller (Phoenix on Oct. 4) and former Phoenix RoadRunners center Daniel Winnik (Phoenix Coyotes on Oct. 4).

- Record 51 former ECHL players played their first NHL game in 2005-06.

- ECHL has been represented on last seven Stanley Cup champions.

- There are 15 coaches in the NHL who have ECHL experience including former Wheeling coach Peter Laviolette, who is head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes, and former Mississippi coach Bruce Boudreau, who is interim head coach of the Washington Capitals.

- ECHL has been represented on last 18 Calder Cup champions.

- ECHL has affiliations with 26 of the 29 teams in the American Hockey League and for the past 18 years there has been an ECHL player on the Calder Cup Champion.

- The Stockton Thunder and the City of Stockton will host the Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Game presented by Jackson Rancheria and Bud Light at Stockton Arena on Jan. 23, 2008 and the Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star Skills Competition presented by Jackson Rancheria and Bud Light on Jan. 22, 2008.

- In the last five seasons the ECHL has had more call-ups to the AHL than all other professional leagues combined with over 2,000 call-ups involving more than 1,000 players since 2002-03.
ECHL and its member teams contributed nearly $3 million for charity and relief funds in 2006-07.
