
Condors raise more than $10,000 in Charity Golf Classic

Golfing for a Good Cause:
The Condors hosted the 11th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, Oct. 27. The sold-out tournament raised more than $10,000 for Kern Bridges Youth Homes. That amount breaks the previous single tournament record of $8,000 and brings the all-time total to nearly $50,000.
The Golf Classic, held at Rio Bravo Country Club, featured Condors players and local golf and Condors fans shooting 18 holes of golf, followed by a post-tournament deep-pit barbecue. The proceeds from the golf tournament directly benefit the foster children of Kern Bridges Youth Homes.

Tuesday, Nov. 4: Be sure to catch the "Voice of the Condors," Kevin Bartl, on KERN 1410 with Scott Cox at 8 a.m., as they discuss the pros of skipping work to attend the Condors Businessperson's Special/Field Trip Day Game on Wednesday. The Scott Cox Show airs Monday - Friday from 6 to 9 a.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 5: The Bakersfield Condors will take on the Victoria Salmon Kings for the Businessperson's Special / Field Trip Day Game with a special 10:30 a.m. start. All tickets are just $10 and all students in attendance will receive a Condors educational booklet.
Wednesday, Nov. 5: Catch post game reactions from a Condors player (TBD) on "Home Turf" with Corey Costelloe on ESPN Radio 1230 at 4:15 p.m. "Home Turf" airs airs Monday - Friday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 6: Condors Community Relations Manager Brian Marsh will attend the Children's Miracle Network Business Council Luncheon at The Petroleum Club from noon to 1 p.m. The Condors will be recognized for their on-going efforts to assist the Children's Miracle Network.
Thursday, Nov. 6: The Condors Coach's Show will air on ESPN Radio 1230 from 5 to 6 p.m. The Coach's Show will feature a Condors player and Head Coach Marty Raymond, and is hosted by the "Voice of the Condors," Kevin Bartl. Typically held live from Hungry Hunter at Rosedale Hwy., this edition of the Coach's Show will be prerecorded due to team travel.
Friday, Nov. 7: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will visit the students at Washington Middle School, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at 1101 Noble Ave. The Colonel will act out a story read aloud to the students and join them in school-yard games.
Saturday, Nov. 8: The Condors return to The Nest for the Olympic Jersey Off Our Backs Raffle and Auction with a special guest -Olympic Gold Medalist Jason Lezak. Game-worn, Olympic-themed jerseys, including a Lezak jersey, will be auctioned off for Ronald McDonald House Charities after the game, plus everyone in attendance has a chance to win one of five to be given away! Lezak will also be available for photos and autographs during the game at the Condors Photo Booth.
Monday, Nov. 10: The "Voice of the Condors," Kevin Bartl, will appear on "There It Is! The Jake Stevens Show" at 7:45 a.m. on ESPN Radio 1230. Bartl will sit down with Stevens every Monday to discuss everything Condors hockey.
Monday, Nov. 10: The Condors take on the Las Vegas Wranglers at Rabobank Arena for the 11th annual Project Warm Families Coat Collection Night. Fans that donate a new or gently used coat will receive $1 terrace admission to the game. The Coat Collection has kept more than 19,000 recipients warm in its history. The coats will be donated to needy individuals in Kern County for the upcoming cold season.

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days.
