
Wranglers Host Bakersfield And Phoenix This Weekend

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 1-0-0 record this past week with a convincing 5-1 win over the Stockton Thunder on Friday night at home.
Las Vegas will play in Phoenix tonight against the RoadRunners at 6:05 pm (PST). The Wranglers will return home to host the Bakersfield Condors on Friday night at 7:30 PM at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas will conclude the week by hosting Phoenix on Saturday night at 7:30 PM at the Orleans Arena.

The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Stockton Thunder 5-1 in front of 3,381 fans at the Orleans Arena on Friday night. Center Chris Ferraro scored a goal and set up two more in the Wranglers win. Goalie John DeCaro snagged his first win of the season by stopping 20 of 21 Stockton shots. Forward Tyler Mosienko scored a goal and also added an assist in his return from the injured reserve list. Defenseman P.J. Atherton, as well as forwards Chris Neiszner and Chris Korchinski also scored in the victory.
Wranglers Host Prostate Awareness Weekend
Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced Monday the team will host Prostate Cancer Awareness Weekend on November 14th and 15th against Idaho at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas also announced that the majority of the players have agreed to grow mustaches for charity as part of the "Movember" program hosted by the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
The Wranglers are proud to partner with Studio Blue, US TOO and the Prostate Cancer Foundation on the weekend of November 14th and 15th. On Friday, November 14th the Wranglers and Studio Blue will hand out fake mustaches to the first 2,000 fans to the Orleans Arena before Las Vegas hosts Idaho. Studio Blue recording artist Adelitas Way will perform at the game on Friday, November 14th.
The team will also wear light blue helmets with the Studio Blue logo during Friday and Saturday night's games. Fans will be able to bid on the players' helmets in a silent auction on the concourse at the home games. After the game, the individual players will autograph the game-worn helmets before they are awarded to the highest bidders. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity.
The majority of the Wranglers have agreed to grow mustaches for the entire month of November to participate in the Prostate Cancer Foundation's "Movember" program. Fans will be able to sponsor their favorite Wranglers players by linking to the team's "Movember" link on the team's home webpage.
Wranglers Roster Report -
The Wranglers announced Thursday that the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League have assigned defenseman P.J. Atherton to Las Vegas. The Wranglers also announced that defenseman Brandon Straub has been reassigned to Las Vegas from the Quad City Flames of the AHL. In another transaction, the Houston Aeros have reassigned center Justin Taylor to Las Vegas. All three made impacts in their first game with the team on Friday. Atherton scored, Taylor dished out an assist and Straub picked up a fighting major penalty. The Wranglers announced that forward Matt Beaudoin has been loaned to San Antonio (AHL) and goalie Martin Houle has been loaned to Peoria (AHL). Left wing Mick Lawrence has been placed on the 30-day injured reserve list. Defenseman Jason Dest remains on the three-day injured reserve list, while left wing Shawn Limpright sits on the seven-day injured reserve. Defenseman Jim Jorgensen was traded early Friday to the Gwinnett Gladiators in exchange for future considerations. Center Tyler Mosienko returned to the line-up with a goal and an assist on Friday night.
