
College rivals take to ice at the BI-LO Center

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced the scheduling of a college hockey game, to be played after an upcoming hockey game. CLEMSON UNIVERSITY will take on the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA at the BI-LO Center on Friday, March 26, 2004. The two club hockey teams will play after the conclusion of the Greenville Grrrowl home game against the Augusta Lynx, a 7:05pm face-off.
Clemson University is a member of the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference, and USC is an independent club team. Both teams play a full schedule of 22-27 regular season games, and will meet for the second time this season. Earlier this season, USC defeated Clemson 7-6 in overtime in a game in the Carolina Coliseum. Last season, the Tiger shut out the Gamecocks by a final score of 6-0 at the BI-LO Center in Greenville.

Greenville starts a 5-game home stand on Saturday (2/21), by taking on the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:05pm, before hosting Columbus on Sunday afternoon (2/22).
