Belitski returns to Express roster

ROANOKE, VA – Roanoke Express Head Coach Tony MacAulay announced today that goaltender David Belitski has rejoined the roster from the Toronto Roadrunners of the American Hockey League.

Belitski was called-up to the Roadrunners on February 5, and saw action in three games, compiling a 1-1-0 record with a 3.49 goals against average and a .877 save percentage. The 26-year-old native of Mississauga, Ont. made his first career AHL appearance on February 11 when he came into the game during the second period and stopped 18 of 19 shots vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Belitski's first career AHL start came two nights later vs. Hamilton when he earned the win stopping 24 of 26 shots. The former German Bundesliga All-Star suffered his lone loss against Binghamton on February 15.

Roanoke returns home to the Roanoke Civic Center on February 20 & 21 when it hosts the Gwinnett Gladiators on both nights at 7:30 p.m.
