Linglet promoted to AHL

Alaska Aces News Release

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Left winger Charles Linglet has been recalled by the Utah Grizzlies of the American Hockey League.

Linglet left for Salt Lake City Wednesday morning from Las Vegas, where he had an assist in Alaska's 5-2 loss to the Wranglers Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena. This will be Linglet's second stint in the AHL, having played in three games for Utah just a couple of weeks ago, managing three shots on goal during his brief stay. Linglet ranks third on the Aces in scoring and sits in a tie for sixth among ECHL rookies with 43 points on 15 goals and 28 assists.

Mike Scott remains in the AHL with Providence, scoring a game-winning goal among his 15 shots in eight games for the Bruins. Even though Scott has not suited up for the Aces since January 24, he still ranks second on the club in goals (19) and fourth in points (41). No timetable has been established for his, or Linglet's, return to the Alaska lineup.

The Aces (28-18-4) are expected to sign Anchorage-born free agent Mike Forsland in time for this weekend's games against the resurgent Long Beach Ice Dogs, who were beaten by Alaska 3-2 last Wednesday but are 8-7-2 overall in their last 17 games. Forsland, who graduated from NCAA Division I Sacred Heart University in 2003, appeared in all three home games against Las Vegas two weeks ago, his pro debut. The Aces will enter the weekend with a perfect 5-0 record head-to-head against Long Beach (17-29-4).

The series runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at Sullivan Arena, with all starting times at 7:00 p.m. AST. This weekend's games will be broadcast live on KFQD 750 AM and at www.alaskaaces.com, with Jack Michaels calling the play-by-play. Coverage begins 20 minutes prior to the opening face-off, presented by GCI.
