FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Falcons fans raised $17,500 for the California Transplant Donor Network during a post-game auction of the game-worn Valentine's Day-themed jerseys the team wore on Feb. 13 in a 4-3 win against the Alaska Aces.

Top honors for the jersey receiving the largest bid went to the #42 sweater of ECHL All-Star defenseman Kevin Truelson, which was purchased for $2,325.

Other jerseys fetching more than $1,000 included the sweaters of #33 Riku Rahikainen ($1,700), #25 Jason Weaver ($1,200), #5 Mark Jackson ($1,050) and #40 Tapio Sammalkangas ($1,000).

The Falcons have auctioned-off three sets of game-worn specialty jerseys this season, with their fans pledging more than $45,000 to benefit the Fresno Jr. Falcons, Community Food Bank and California Transplant Donor Network combined.

The club will auction off game-worn St. Patrick's Day-themed jerseys to benefit the United Way following their game on March 17 against the Long Beach Ice Dogs.

The Falcons complete a season-long, six-game homestand tomorrow when they host the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7 p.m. at Save Mart Center. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Falcons t-shirt courtesy of Tony Roma's, while every fan in attendance will receive Mardi Gras beads in recognition of the annual New Orleans celebration taking place over the weekend.

Tickets to tomorrow's game can be purchased directly at Save Mart Center's Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, which include select Save Mart Supermarkets, Tower Records, Wherehouse Music and Ritmo Latino locations, charged by phone at 485-TIXS or bought online by clicking the Ticketmaster icon throughout www.fresnofalcons.com.
