Icegators Host Specialty Nights

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators announced today they will host two specialty nights during the games on February 27 and 29. Friday, February 27, the IceGators host their division rival, the Mississippi Sea Wolves for Lafayette Parish Appreciation Night. Sunday, February 29, against the Texas Wildcatters, Cox Media presents SpongeBob SquarePants.

On Lafayette Appreciation Night, residents of Lafayette Parish will receive a $2 discount off all tickets purchased at the Cajundome box office. Since this is a Friday night game, 16-ounce beers will be $2. The IceGators are also offering $5 tickets to all college students with a valid college ID. The night's activities will include the national anthem sung by Bonnie Gordon. District Attorney Mike Harson will drop the ceremonial puck. Intermission games will include Dance for your Dinner and Crossfire. Lafayette Appreciation Night is sponsored by C'est Jolie, Buffalo Wild Wings, The Burke Group and Prejean's.

Sunday, February 29 will find SpongeBob SquarePants visiting the Cajundome. Cox Media will present the final appearance of the Cox Media Kid's Sunday Spectacular, featuring SpongeBob SquarePants. The Texas Wildcatters cross the border to battle with the IceGators at 4:05 p.m. All kids tickets are $5 for any seat in the building. Shannon Stevenson will sing the national anthem. Capt. Barry Walsh Jr. will drop the ceremonial puck. Besides the appearance by SpongeBob SquarePants, other activities will include a Poor Boy's Riverside Inn Dance for your Dinner, SpongeBob Trivia and an IceGators Owners T-Shirt Toss
