Storm Goes to TV

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that they have reached an agreement with Buckeye Cable Sports Network to tape-delay the broadcast of the Toledo Storm home contest this Friday February 20, 2004.

Vice President and General Manager Mike Miller stated, "This is very exciting for the entire Toledo Storm organization and our fans. This is a great move for us and BCSN."

Matt Melzak, who is in his first season as the voice of the Toledo Storm, will be handling the play-by-play duties. Jim McCabe, who spent six seasons in a Goaldiggers uniform while registering 405 points, will be the analyst for the contest. Jason Griffin, who has done play-by-play for BCSN, will provide the intermission reports and rink side reporting. Andy Sanzotta will fill in for Melzak on the radio.

The game features a first ever match up between the Toledo Storm and the Idaho Steelheads who play in the Western Conference. BCSN has scheduled the game to air on tape delay at midnight Friday night including three more broadcasts over the course of the weekend.
