LOUISVILLE, KY - Reds rehabber Nick Senzel tallied three hits and an RBI but the Louisville Bats (2-6) came up short 5-4 against the Indianapolis Indians (4-4) on Saturday afternoon at Louisville Slugger Field.

Alex McGarry got the Bats on the scoreboard first, blasting his first home run of the season with a solo shot in the second inning.

The Indians got in the score column in the top of the fourth, putting up four runs on two home runs and a double to take a 4-1 lead over the Bats.

Chase Anderson (0-1, 3.60) tossed 5.0 innings in his second start of the season, giving up four runs, two earned. Anderson scattered four hits in the outing while walking two and striking out six.

Louisville rallied in the bottom of the fifth, pulling within a run. Jhonny Pereda, Alejo Lopez and Michael Siani all drew one out walks to load the bases and start the scoring threat. With two outs in the inning, Reds rehabber Joey Votto stepped to the plate and drove the first pitch he saw into the left field corner for a two RBI double to get the Bats back within one, down 4-3.

Indianapolis put up another run to open the seventh, but the Bats answered in the home half of the inning. With two on and one out, Senzel laced his third base-hit of the day into center field to score a run and keep the game within one at 5-4.

The Indians kept the Bats at bay over the final two frames of the game as Louisville dropped another close game 5-4.

Louisville and Indianapolis will wrap up the six-game series, playing the finale on Easter Sunday, April 9, with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 pm E.T. Right-hander Ben Lively (1-0, 3.60) is set to take the mound for his second start of the series for the Bats, facing off once with Indianapolis righty Quinn Priester (0-1, 14.73)
