BANDITS MATCH-UPS –

Pensacola – The Ice Pilots will see the Bandits twice this week, hosting them today, and being hosted on Sunday. The Ice Pilots, who are currently tied for third, have only won two of their last ten games there past 5 in a row (including an overtime loss). The Bandits currently lead the series 4-3-2, and with a Monday night win (if Arkansas loses to Mississippi) then the Bandits can leap into third place. Pensacola is led offensively by Greg Pankewicz (41g-35a), and between the pipes by Maxime Gingras (23-20-7, .914 save percentage). The Bandits leading scorer against the Ice Pilots is John McNabb (3g-6a), and Ty Garner has a 3.31 goals against average versus the Ice Pilots. The puck drops at 6:05 p.m. on Monday in Pensacola, and at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday here in Jackson.

Louisiana – The Ice Gators will also be seeing the Bandits twice this week, being hosted on Wednesday, and doing the hosting on Friday. The Ice Gators, who are currently 2nd, have only won four of their last ten, but have recently started a two game win streak. The Bandits currently lead the series 4-2-2, and can hopefully keep both Arkansas and Pensacola off their heels with two more wins. Louisiana is led offensively by Shawn McNeil (35g-47a), and between the pipes by Kyle Kettles (18-12-7, .915 save percentage). The Bandits leading scorer against the Ice Gators is John McNabb (4g-3a), and Adam Hauser has won three of six games against them. Both Wednesday night's game in Jackson and Friday night's game in Lafayette start at 7:05 p.m.

Baton Rouge – The Baton Rouge Kingfish will be coming to town on Saturday, while Adam Hauser will be looking for his 3rd straight shutout against the last place team in the Southwest Division. The Kingfish have only four of their last ten games, and are currently on a three game losing streak aided by Jackson's 6-0 win on Friday. Baton Rouge is led offensively by Chris Bell (17g-27a), and in between the pipes by Niklas Sundberg (10-10-2, .914 save percentage). The Bandits leading scorer against the Kingfish is John McNabb (10g-3a), and both Adam Hauser and Ty Garner combined have only lost two games against them. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. in Jackson.

BANDITS BITES -

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Bryan Forslund had a goal and four assists, including a beautiful shorthanded goal against Baton Rouge on Friday night to earn Bandits player of the week honors. Forslund, a native of Sherwood Park, Alberta, has done very well this year with the Bandits scoring eleven goals and picking up eighteen assists.

GOALIE OF THE WEEK – Adam Hauser went an unbeaten 2-0-1 this week and also picked up his fifth shutout of the year in order to earn Bandits goalie of the week honors. Hauser, a native of Bovey, MN, boosted his 19-9-4 record by stopping all 26 Kingfish shots, has had a breakout rookie year after helping the Minnesota Golden Gophers NCAA hockey team win the championship last year.

BANDITS ARE BACK – The Bandits will be playing eight of the last eleven games this month at home, all against major division contenders. Redemption will be on the line as the Bandits face the Ice Gators three times in eight days, while Arkansas will only get two chances to keep the Bandits from stealing the fourth playoff seed and putting the mini game here in Jackson. Tickets are still on sale, but they're going very quickly, so call 352-7825 and get your tickets TODAY! Don't miss out on the excitement as the Bandits make their third consecutive run at the Kelly Cup!
