MARCH MADNESS ON THE FROZEN POND...The fate of the 2002-03 Milwaukee Admirals will be determined by the results over the next four weeks as the Admirals continue a wicked stretch of 19 games in a 31-day period. The Admirals are 3-3-1-0 in the first seven games of the stretch drive. This week's travel includes a trip for two games to Winnipeg Manitoba to play the Moose and a one-night stand in Texas to play the Houston Aeros at the Compaq Center. The team also plays two games at the Bradley Center.

ROSTER REVISIONS...Goaltender Jan Lasak and defensemen Jeremy Rebek and Scott Ricci will join the admirals for their games this week. The Nashville Predators reassigned Lasak Monday. Ricci was acquired for future considerations from the Binghamton Senators and Jeremy Rebek was signed to a 25-game contract Monday. Rebek has scored 53 points (16g-37a) in 60 games with the Rockford IceHogs (UHL) and Ricci has scored six points (0g-6a) in 50 games with Binghamton. Lasak is 12-7-6 with a 3.06 goals-against average in 26 games with the Admirals and is 0-1-0 with a 3.33 GAA in three games with Nashville this season.

VS. MOOSE...Tuesday and Wednesday the Admirals make their first trip to Manitoba to play the Moose in a two game set. All-time vs. the Manitoba/Minnesota Moose, the Admirals are 36-17-0-0 with a road record in Manitoba of 10-8-0-0. In the last 13 overall games against the Moose, the Admirals are 9-4-0-0. The Admirals are a perfect 10-0 in overtime and shootout contests in the all-time series with the Moose. They've also done well in close contests with the Moose. Milwaukee is 16-5 in one-goal games and 11-3 in two-goal decisions. Last season the Admirals and Moose split the eight games series with each team going 2-2 on their home ice.

VS. PHANTOMS...Friday night the Philadelphia Phantoms make their only visit of the season to Milwaukee. The Phantoms took the first meeting of the year between the two teams with a 6-5 overtime win at the First Union Spectrum in Philly. Last season the Admirals shutout the Phantoms twice, 2-0 and 5-0 and overall Milwaukee is now 2-0-0-1 against Philadelphia.

VS. AEROS...Saturday night the Admirals and Aeros close out their ten game season series with a clash at the Compaq Center in Houston. Milwaukee is 4-3-1-1 in the season series with a road record of 2-1-1-0. The Admirals have beaten the Aeros in three different cities this season (Milwaukee, Houston and St. Paul, MN). In the last 15 road games against the Aeros Milwaukee is 8-3-1-3. In the all-time series, the Admirals are 24-18-1-6 against Houston.

VS. GRIZZLIES...The Utah Grizzlies pay another visit to the Bradley Center Sunday afternoon. Milwaukee is 6-1-0-0 against Utah this season and 2-0-0-0 at the Bradley Center. The six wins over Utah is an all-time season high for the Admirals, breaking the previous mark of five set in the 2000-01 season. In the last 13 games overall against their old rivals, the Admiral are 9-3-1-0. In the all-time series against eh Utah/Denver Grizzlies, Milwaukee is 25-30-2-3.

PLAYOFF PICTURE...With 16 games remaining in the regular season, the Admirals' currently hold the eighth spot in the Western Conference playoff seeding. They trail the seventh seeded Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins by one point and the sixth seeded Hershey Bears by six points.

SCORING MACHINE...In the last 18 games, the Admirals have scored 62 goals to improve their season mark for goals/game to 3.16 (6th in AHL). With 202 goals scored this season, the Admirals have surpassed last year's total goal scoring output of 198 goals for the entire season.

WORKING OVERTIME... The Admirals played in their 21ST overtime session Sunday afternoon. They also played to their 13th tie of the year Friday night at the Bradley Center. The Admirals' played to a draw in five games during the month of February, including three straight from February 7-9. They are 4-4-13 with OT winners coming from Cameron Mann (10/26 vs. CHI), Peter Smrek (11/30 @ CLE) and Jason Beckett (1/11 @ HAM) and Darren Haydar (3/9 vs. CIN).

DARREN TO BE GREAT...Rookie Darren Haydar continues to set Admiral team records and attain new milestones. Haydar is the Admirals' leading scorer with 66 points (26g-40a) in 59 games played. The former University of New Hampshire star became the Admirals' first ever AHL 20-goal scorer with a goal 1/31 vs. Grand Rapids. He leads the team in goals scored (26), assists (40), multiple-point games (19), game-winning goals (7) and +/- (+23). Haydar is first in scoring among AHL rookies and is fifth among all league scorers. He surpassed last year's leading scorer, Petr Sachl, who scored 43 points for the Admirals over the entire season. The AHL All-Star is the first Admiral since Ville Peltonen in 2000-01 to reach the 60-point mark in a season. He is just a point behind Jason Cipolla's mark of 67 points for the most points scored in a season by an Admiral since the team's affiliation with Nashville.
