Chiefs waive defenseman Jeremy Downs

Johnstown, PA (November 18, 2005) - The Johnstown Chiefs announced that they have waived defenseman Jeremy Downs and that goaltender Jonathan Boutin and defenseman Gerard Dicaire have been assigned by the Springfield Falcons (AHL). Downs played in three scoreless games for the Chiefs this season.

Dicaire has played in nine games for the Falcons this season not collecting a point. In 47 games with the Falcons last season, the Fort St. John, British Columbia native collected three goals and four assists for seven points and 20 penalty minutes.

Boutin has played in two games for Springfield this year posting a record of 0-1-1 with a 1.93 goals against average and .945 save percentage. Boutin started the season with the Chiefs playing in three games posting a 3.29 goals against average and .912 save percentage. Boutin was recalled by the Falcons on October 30th.

Dicaire and Boutin will be available for the Chiefs home game tonight against the South Carolina Stingrays. Face-off is at 7:30 p.m.

The Chiefs are back in action tonight when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m. Tomorrow, the Chiefs travel to Toledo to take on the Storm.
