Wranglers host Toledo Tuesday

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a 2-1-1 record last week starting with a 3-2 win over Fresno at the Orleans Arena on Tuesday night. Wednesday night, Las Vegas suffered a 3-0 loss in Bakersfield. Friday night, the Wranglers dropped a 1-0 decision in a shootout at home to Toledo. Saturday night, Las Vegas bounced back to defeat Toledo 6-3 at the Orleans Arena.

This Tuesday, Las Vegas and Toledo conclude a three-game set with a 7:05 pm face-off on at the Orleans Arena. Friday, the Wranglers visit the Falcons in Fresno at 7:30 pm. Sunday night, Las Vegas meets the Thunder at the Stockton Arena at 4:00 pm. The Wranglers will return home to meet the defending Kelly Cup Champions, the Alaska Aces on Tuesday, February 13th at 7:05 pm.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Fresno Falcons 3-2 on Tuesday night in front of 3,522 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers forward Aki Seitsonen scored twice in the victory for Las Vegas. Mike McKenna stopped 31 of 33 shots for his 14th victory of the season.

Bakersfield, CA - The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Bakersfield Condors 3-0 at Rabobank Arena on Wednesday night. Goalie Jamie Hodson made 28 saves for the Condors' shutout. Forwards Josh Liebenow and Andrew Ianeiro scored 52-seconds apart in the first period to lead the Condors to victory.

Toledo 1 at Las Vegas 0 SO

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Toledo Storm 1-0 in a shootout on Friday night in front of 5,103 fans at the Orleans Arena. Toledo's Ervins Mustukovs made 30 saves in regulation and stopped four of five shots in the shootout for the win. Wranglers' goalie Kevin Nastiuk made 27 saves and stopped three of five in the shootout for the loss.

Saturday, February 3rd

Toledo 3 at Las Vegas 6

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Toledo Storm 6-3 on Saturday night in front of 5,969 fans at the Orleans Arena. Wranglers' goalie Kevin Nastiuk made 27 saves in the win. Defensemen Jason Jozsa, Scott Schoneck, and Aaron Power each scored as Las Vegas snapped a 167:31-goalless drought. Storm winger Evan McGrath scored a goal and added an assist in the Toledo loss. Las Vegas center Tyler Mosienko scored a goal and dished out two assists. Forwards Chris Neiszner and Marco Peluso each had three assists in the victory for Las Vegas. In all, six different Wranglers scored a goal in the victory.

Toledo Storm - (23-18-1, 47 points, 3rd Place, North) -

Toledo and Las Vegas have split the first two games of a three-game series this past weekend, with the final game of the series set for Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena. Toledo is 7-3-0 in their last ten games played and 6-13-1 on the road this season. Winger Matt Zultek leads the Storm in scoring 14 goals and 18 assists for 32 points in 42 games played this season. Former Wrangler Jeff Attard returned to the Orleans with Toledo this past Friday night. Attard spent two seasons with the Las Vegas Wranglers from 2003-2005. During Attard's two seasons with the Wranglers, he amassed 32 goals and 55 assists for 87 points in 138 games played. Attard was also selected as the first ever ECHL Man of the Year award winner, while with the Wranglers in the 2004-05 season. Storm goalie Ervins Mustokovs is 3-1-0 with a 2.21 goals against average and a .934 save percentage. Toledo rookie Evan McGrath has five goals and six assists for 11 points in seven games with the Storm.

Fresno Falcons - (24-15-4, 52 points, 3rd Place, Pacific) -

Las Vegas leads the season series with 3-1-2 record. The Falcons are 14-6-2 at home and 3-5-2 in their last ten games played. All-Star Luke Curtin leads the team in scoring with ten goals and 36 assists for 46 points in 34 games played. Former Wrangler Lucas Lawson has no points in three games with the Falcons. Forward John Morlang is second on the team in scoring with 16 goals and 25 assists for 41 points.

Stockton Thunder - (20-13-8, 48 points, 4th Place, Pacific) -

The Stockton Thunder are 11-6-4 at home this season and 2-6-2 in their last ten games played. Stockton has scored 70 of their 129 goals this season at home. The Thunder are led by former Las Vegas Wrangler Mike Lalonde, who has 18 goals and 20 assists for 38 points this season. Thunder goalie Cam Ellsworth is 7-8-2 this season with a 2.64 goals against average and .889 save percentage. The Thunder have posted a 6-11-3 record since December 15th.
