Potter recalled to Hartford

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced that defenseman Corey Potter has been recalled by the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

In 43 games with Charlotte this season, Potter registered six goals and 13 assists for 19 points, along with 56 penalty minutes. The 23-year-old blueliner spent the last four seasons skating with the Michigan State Spartans, where he played in a total of 150 games, scoring a total of 8 goals and 36 assists for 44 points and registering 283 penalty minutes.

In other recent transactions, goalie Alex Westlund was recalled by the Wolf Pack on Saturday, Feb. 3.

The Checkers host three games this week beginning on Thursday as they face South Carolina. The Checkers will host Texas Saturday and Columbia Sunday.
