ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades finished off this past week by picking up five of a possible eight points on their four-game road trip. The Everblades head into this week's action with a record of 27-14-2 (56 pts, 3rd South Div.).

THIS WEEK (All Times Eastern)

Friday & Saturday, February 9 & 10 vs. Pensacola Ice Pilots (Both Games) 7:30 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades return to action this weekend with a pair of home games vs. Pensacola. The Everblades are 3-1-1 vs. Pensacola this season and are 1-1-0 at home vs. the Ice Pilots. The Ice Pilots won the most recent meeting with a 3-2 overtime win on Jan. 30 at Pensacola. Four of the five games played between the teams have been decided by one goal. This weekend's games are the sixth and seventh of 11 between the South Division rivals this season. The Ice Pilots enter this week's action with a record of 14-29-2 (30 pts., 8th South Div.) The Everblades hold an all-time record of 40-12-10 vs. Pensacola and are 21-5-6 all-time at home vs. the Ice Pilots.

Saturday, February 10 - Everblades will welcome their 2,000,000th fan! Lucky fan will win 10 tickets to a suite at BankAtlantic Center for the Florida Panthers home game vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 22, plus a limo ride courtesy of Racing Limos to and from the game!!

Tuesday, January 30 at Pensacola 3-2 OTL

The Everblades earned a point in the standings after the Ice Pilots picked up a 3-2 overtime victory on Tuesday night at the Pensacola Civic Center. The Ice Pilots scored the first two goals of the game before the Everblades stormed back with a pair of goals to tie the game. Jon Lehun scored a late second period goal and Chris Lee tallied the tying goal midway through the third period. In overtime, the Ice Pilots picked up the game-winner half way through the extra session with a power play goal. In net, David Shantz earned a tie in the standings stopping 33 of 36 shots to bring his record to 12-6-1. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-9, PK: 4-for-7.

Thursday, February 1 at Augusta 4-3 W

The Everblades snapped Augusta's eight-game home winning streak with a 4-3 effort on Thursday night at James Brown Arena. The Everblades notched the game's first two goals with Jon Lehun and Ryan Brindley scoring 45 seconds apart midway through the first period. The Lynx responded with the next three goals, but Derek Damon tied the score at three late in the second period and Lehun tallied his second of the night and the eventual game-winner eight minutes into the third period. In goal, Craig Kowalski picked up the win by stopping 26 of 29 shots to bring his record to 14-7-1. Florida special teams: PP: 1-for-9, PK: 5-for-5.

Friday, February 2 at Charlotte Checkers 3-2 L

The Everblades suffered their only regulation loss during their four-game road trip on Friday night at Charlotte. The Checkers tallied the first two goals of the night with a first period goal and an early second period goal, but Florida responded with a pair of 5-on-3 power play goals early in the second period to tie the game. Chris Lee scored both Everblades goals just 1:28 apart in the first four minutes of the frame. Charlotte picked up the eventual game-winner 48 seconds into the third period. In goal David Shantz suffered the loss, allowing the three goals on 29 shots, which dropped his record to 12-7-1. Florida special teams: PP: 2-for-9, PK: 4-for-5.

Saturday, February 3 at Augusta Lynx 4-3 OTW

The Everblades wrapped up their road swing by scoring a 4-3 overtime win at Augusta on Saturday night. Adam Taylor opened the scoring for the Everblades eight minutes into the first period. The Lynx responded with the next two goals to grab the lead, but Dustin Johner tied the game 2-2 midway through the opening period. Neither team scored in the second period, and Derek Damon grabbed the lead back for Florida 1:09 into the third. Augusta battled back to tie the game seven minutes into the final period to tie the game at three. Two minutes into overtime rookie Jarret Lukin scored his first professional goal to give the Everblades the win. In goal, Craig Kowalski improved his record to 15-7-1 by stopping 25 of 28 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 2-for-6, PK: 2-for-3.
