
Pink in the Rink draws record crowd

A record crowd of 14,023 witnessed the Fresno Falcons beat the Stockton Thunder 3-1 Saturday night during the Inaugural Pink at the Rink with Mary Kay and the Falcons at the Save Mart Center. The Falcons remain unbeaten against Stockton, having never lost to the Thunder during the first two seasons of play since Stockton opened in 2005. The Falcons played in Pink Jerseys which were auctioned off after the game to benefit the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation. The unofficial results indicate a gross jersey auction total revenue of almost $ 40,000, the most money ever raised at a Falcons Jersey Auction!
FRIDAY IS GO RED FOR WOMEN HEART TO HEART NIGHT WITH THE FALCONS AGAINST LAS VEGAS AT 7:30PM. The Falcons will be wearing red heart stickers on their helmets as a symbol for the Go Red For Women Heart Month. Heart disease is the number one killer of women and the Falcons will be wearing red heart stickers to remember those have lost their battle to heart disease and to raise awareness. Did you know that more than 50% of the Falcons audience is female? The Falcons are also selling Heart to Heart Night Ticket Packages for $ 14.00. These tickets ($ 17.00 Value Gold Seats) must be purchased in advance at the Falcons office with $ 5.00 of each $ 14.00 ticket sold donated back to the American Heart Association.
FRIDAY IS ALSO THE ANNUAL GUNS AND HOSES BROOMBALL GAME! The Falcons welcome area police and fire personnel to battle for Broomball supremacy during the first intermission, more Broomball details to follow!
The Falcons also welcome the Central Valley Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts to the game, as well as the Bullard Knights Marching Band. The Bullard Band will play throughout the game and on the ice during the intermission.
The Falcons also have announced that the Inaugural Fresno Falcons Pucks and Pasta Dinner presented by Community Medical Center to benefit the American Heart Association, will take place on Thursday, February 22 at Pardini's on West Shaw at 6pm. Tickets are $ 30.00 and include dinner served by the Falcons along with a Red Pucks & Pasta Puck. The Falcons players will be wearing red aprons to serve dinner in, aprons which will be auctioned off at the end of dinner. Order your tickets in advance by calling the Falcons at 485-7825.
