
Lynx's McKee Named CCM Vector Rookie Of The Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Augusta goaltender Dave
McKee is the CCM Vector ECHL Rookie of the Month for January.
The 23-year-old was 8-0-0 with a 2.74 goals-against average and a save
percentage of .911 in nine games in January as the Lynx went 10-1-1 and
moved into fourth place in the South Division.
The Irving, Texas native is tied for second in the ECHL with 19 wins and
had a nine-game win streak from Dec. 31-Jan. 28 and lowered his
goals-against average from 3.77 to 3.48.
The 6-foot-1 and 187-pound McKee had 35 saves in a 3-2 win against South
Division leader Gwinnett on Jan. 4 and made 32 saves in a 4-3 shootout win
against Texas on Jan. 12. After making 20 saves in an 8-3 win against
Pensacola, he had 34 saves in a 4-1 win at Columbia on Jan. 23 and 30 saves
in a 7-4 win at Trenton before ending the month with 24 saves in a 6-3 win
at Wheeling. McKee also came on in relief in two games, picking up a win at
Johnstown on Jan. 27 and a no decision at South Carolina on Jan. 5.
McKee played three seasons at Cornell University where he was 65-24-13
with 18 shutouts, a goals-against average of 1.71 and a save percentage of
.926 in 102 games from 2003-06. He was 27-5-3 with 10 shutouts, a
goals-against average of 1.24 and a save percentage of .947 in 2004-05.
