
Wranglers host big week at Orleans Arena

Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® posted a 2-0-1 record last week starting with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Idaho Steelheads at the Orleans Arena on Friday night. Saturday night, Las Vegas bounced back with a 5-4 overtime win over the Steelheads. Sunday, Mike McKenna and the Wranglers shutout the Fresno Falcons 3-0.
Tuesday night, the Wranglers and Fresno Falcons meet at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. Wednesday night the Wranglers take on the Bakersfield Condors at Rabobank Arena at 7:00 pm. Friday, February 2nd, the Wranglers host the Toledo Storm at 7:05 pm. The first 2,000 fans receive a Wranglers' projector pen, compliments of Case by Case Digital Document Imaging Solutions. Saturday, February 3rd, the Wranglers host Toledo for NASCAR night at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will wear jerseys that resemble Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #8 car. The Budweiser sponsored car will be on the concourse for fans to see throughout the game. Prior to the game, fans may attend the Port of Subs pre-game party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the concourse of the Orleans Arena.

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® were defeated by the Idaho Steelheads Friday night in front of 5,869 fans at the Orleans Arena. Blake Forsyth's second goal of the season with 1:18 left in the overtime lifted Idaho to victory. Steelheads goalie Steve Silverthorn made 30 saves for his 18th victory of the season. Forwards Steve Crampton and Joe Tallari each had a goal and an assist for the Wranglers.

Idaho 4 at Las Vegas 5 OT
Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® defeated the Idaho Steelheads 5-4 Saturday night 7,562 fans at the Orleans Arena. Forward Chris Neiszner scored his second goal of the game just 1:02 into overtime, giving the Wranglers the 5-4 win. Las Vegas winger Joe Tallari scored two goals in the win and center Derek Edwardson dished out four assists. Las Vegas defensemen Ryan Bonni and Scott Schoneck each registered two points for the Wranglers. Idaho winger Lance Galbraith netted a hat trick in the loss. Las Vegas goalie Mike McKenna made 22 saves in the victory.

Fresno 0 at Las Vegas 3
Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® defeated the Fresno Falcons 3-0 at the Orleans Arena in front of 4,498 fans on Sunday night. Las Vegas defenseman Jason Jozsa, and wingers Nick Anderson and Tyler Mosienko each scored for Las Vegas in the win. Mike McKenna stopped all 30 Fresno shots to pick up his 13th win on the season.

Fresno Falcons - (23-14-4, 50 points, 3rd Place, Pacific) -
The Falcons own the season series with a 3-2-0 record against the Wranglers this season. All-Star Luke Curtin leads the team in scoring with eight goals and 34 assists for 42 points in 30 games played. The Falcons have not scored a goal in their last 179 minutes of play.
Bakersfield Condors - (24-12-5, 53 points, 1st Place, Pacific) -
The Condors are 2-2-0 against Las Vegas, having won the last two meetings. Kevin St. Jacques leads the team in scoring with 15 goals and 32 assists for 47 points in 34 games. Left wing Brett Lutes leads the team with 21 goals scored. Bakersfield is 13-7-1 at home this season.
Toledo Storm - (21-17-1, 43 points, 4th Place, North) -
Toledo has a five-game winning streak heading into this week. Matt Zultek leads the Storm in scoring 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points in 39 games played this season. Former Wrangler Jeff Attard returns to the Orleans with Toledo. Attard spent two seasons with the Las Vegas Wranglers from 2003-2005. During Attard's two seasons with the Wranglers he amassed 32 goals and 55 assists for 87 points in 138 games played. Attard was also selected as the first ever ECHL Man of the Year award winner while with the Wranglers in the 2004-05 season.
