Victoria Salmon Kings News Release

The Victoria Salmon Kings made their second trip to California in the month of January, and threw curveballs to the Long Beach Ice Dogs and Pacific-division leading Bakersfield Condors.

On "We Will Win Wednesday" at Long Beach Arena, Goaltender Bryan Bridges made 43 saves to earn a pro career best 0.977 save percentage and lead Victoria to their fourth win against the Ice Dogs.

Wes Goldie scored his third goal in two games to spark the Salmon Kings in Bakersfield. Jordan Krestanovich posted a shorthanded goal and assisted on the game-winning goal for another Victoria road victory.

After the Friday night fight, the Salmon Kings awakened to face the Condors for a Saturday game at noon. With the legs still turning and burning from the previous night, Vancouver Canucks contracted player Marc-Andre Bernier notched a hat trick, and rookie Netminder Alexandre Vincent nabbed 50 saves in his pro debut to guide Victoria to another win at Rabobank Arena.

In their third game in three days, the Salmon Kings battled a tired and frustrated Ice Dogs squad to wrap up the road trip. Victoria dominated in the third period, and with goals from six different players, was able to secure an undefeated road trip.
