Johnstown visited Trenton on Wednesday, making a comeback from a three-goal deficit to win in the 9th round of the shootout.

Johnstown returned home to face the Augusta Lynx on Saturday, clawing back from three goals back once again to even the score in the third period before falling behind and losing 6-4.

The Chiefs hosted the Dayton Bombers on Sunday, losing a tight game by a score of 3-1. Randy Rowe had a goal in his second game with Johnstown since being reassigned from Springfield of the American Hockey League.

Great Performances:

Dmitri Tarabrin had his second two-goal game in as many weeks when he potted two goals at Trenton on Wednesday.

Morgan Cey made seven saves on seven shots at Trenton, coming in at the start of the third period, and then stopped 7-of-9 shooters in the shootout to earn the victory.

Brandon Elliott had a season-high three points (2g, 1a) in Saturday's 6-4 loss to Augusta.

Gerald Coleman made 29 saves on 32 shots in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Dayton.

Dmitri Tarabrin scored twice for Johnstown as the Chiefs came from behind to tie the game at four-apiece in the third period. Morgan Cey made seven saves and stopped 7-of-9 shooters in the shootout, while P.J. Atherton scored the deciding goal in the ninth round of the second extra session.

Jan. 27 vs. Augusta (4-6 L)

Brandon Elliott scored two goals and added an assist, and the Chiefs scored two power-play goals, but it was two shorthand goals by Augusta that sunk the Tribe last Saturday. Morgan Cey made 22 saves on 26 shots through the first two periods, while Gerald Coleman made four saves on six shots in the third frame.


Jan. 28 vs. Dayton (1-3 L)

Randy Rowe scored his first goal since returning to the Chiefs, but Dayton went 2-for-4 on the power-play, while Johnstown's man-advantage was 0-for-5. Gerald Coleman made 29 saves on 32 shots.

Chiefs Notes: Johnstown is 3-for-44 on the power play in the month of January... Dmitri Tarabrin has eight points (5g, 3a) in his last five games... Gerald Coleman was the only Chiefs' goaltender to finish a game he started this week, going the distance in the 3-1 loss to Dayton on Sunday... The Chiefs have the sixth-fewest bench minor penalties in the league with six.
