DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls return to the DBAP for a six-day homestand on Tuesday, May 14. Wool E. Bull's Birthday Party, Bark in the Park, Afforda-BULL Eats and two fireworks shows highlight the event schedule.
The six-game stanza opens on Tuesday, May 14 at 7:05 p.m. against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, with the evening's game presented by Lowes Foods.
The fun continues Wednesday, May 15 at 7:05 p.m. against the IronPigs, presented by GKN Driveline. That evening is Bark in the Park presented by Creature Comforts Inn and Cornwallis Road Animal Hospital, as fans can bring their furry friend to the DBAP. Human tickets for the event cost $9 and canine tickets cost $5, with all proceeds from dog tickets benefiting Second Chance Pet Adoptions.
On Thursday, May 16 the Bulls wrap their series against the Philadelphia Phillies' Triple-A affiliate at 7:05 p.m. Thursday's game features Afforda-BULL Eats, as the stadium will serve a variety of discounted food items, including $2 hot dogs, $3 pizza slices and select $5 beer. Thursday's game is also Triangle Startup Night presented by American Underground, as members of the Triangle startup community can get a ticket to the game and $5 in Bulls Bucks for $15.
The Bulls welcome the Rochester Red Wings to the DBAP on Friday, May 17 for the opener of a three-game series, presented by Duke Nursing. The 7:05 p.m. game will be followed by Friday Night Fireworks presented by bioMerieux, and will also feature an in-game and postgame performance by David and Dania's Quick Change Act. Additionally, local food trucks Baguetteaboutit and Crispy Gyoza will be on the Diamond View Concourse in right field all night long, serving their delicacies throughout the game.
Durham continues its series against the Minnesota Twins' Triple-A team at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 presented by Chiesi USA, Inc. Following the game will be the season's first Saturday Night Fireworks show presented by Window World, and the Bulls will transform into the Durham Tobacconists for the contest as they continue to celebrate the City of Durham's 150th anniversary throughout the 2019 season. Additionally, Chiesi will host a canned food drive benefitting the Inter Faith Food Shuttle at the front of the stadium before the game. For every can donated, $1 in Bulls Bucks will be earned (maximum of $5).
The six-game homestand ends on Sunday, May 19 at 5:05 p.m. with Wool E. Bull's birthday party, and SUNsational Sunday presented by Sun Tan City. Minor League Baseball's best mascot will be joined by mascot friends from around the region, and birthday cake will be served after the crowd sings him Happy Birthday. Plus, following the game children get to show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature's Twist.
