Connecticut Whale News Release
The Wolf Pack went 4-0-0-0 in a four-games-in-five-days stretch this past week, the first time the team has swept four games in five days since December 27th, 29th, 30th and 31st of 2000. The club has now won six of its last seven games and has moved into a first-place tie in the Atlantic Division with the Providence Bruins. On Wednesday night at the Hartford Civic Center, the Pack struck for their biggest offensive output of the season, downing the Norfolk Admirals by a score of 6-3. The Wolf Pack trailed for much of Friday's home game against defending Calder Cup champion Hamilton before pulling out a 3-2 win with three third-period tallies. A goal by Artem Anisimov with 3:46 left in the third period of Saturday's visit to Lowell gave the Pack a 3-2 win over the Devils, and Michael Sauer's first pro goal was the game-winner Sunday in Portland. That score came with only 1:04 left in what would turn out to be a 4-3 triumph. Francis Lessard had his first two-goal game in a Wolf Pack uniform Friday, to spearhead the Pack's third-period comeback against the Bulldogs, and Brodie Dupont and Andrew Hutchinson both totaled 2-3-5 in the four games.
This week:

It's a first-place showdown between the Pack and Providence Bruins at the Hartford Civic Center on Wednesday night (7:00), before the Wolf Pack make their first visit of the season to Bridgeport on Friday, for a GEICO Connecticut Cup matchup with the Sound Tigers (7:30). The Pack are back at home Saturday evening, hosting the Lowell Devils in a 7:00 game.
