Houston Aeros News Release
The Houston Aeros (6-8-1-0) split two road games last week defeating the Peoria Rivermen 3-1 on Friday and losing to the Chicago Wolves 4-0 on Saturday. The Aeros head home for three games this week. Tuesday, November 20th, Houston will host the San Antonio Rampage and Friday, November 23rd and Sunday, November 25th, the Milwaukee Admirals come to town. The Aeros are having a Thanksgiving Special for all three games this week! Center ice seats are $20 and corner seats are just $15 for all three games. TUE, vs. SAN, 7:05 p.m.
The San Antonio Rampage (11-5-1-3) head to Toyota Center for the fourth of 10 meetings this season, second at Toyota Center. The teams last met in Houston on October 28th in a 3-1 victory for the Aeros. San Antonio won the contest the night before 4-1 and the team's skated to the highest scoring game this season for Houston when the Aeros beat the Rampage 6-5 in a shootout on October 19th. The teams have played a total of 63 games and the Aeros have a 40-14-6-3 record against San Antonio for a winning percentage of .706.
FRI, vs. MIL, 7:35 p.m. and SUN, vs. MIL, 4:05 p.m. Houston travelled to Milwaukee on November 8th and the Admirals scored two third period goals to beat the Aeros 3-1. Left wing Peter Olvecky scored the only goal for Houston and Admirals' goaltender Pekka Rinne stopped 24 of 25 shots in the win. The teams will play a total of eight games against each other this season. The Aeros have played only one other team (Chicago) more than the Milwaukee Admirals. This is the 88th all-time meeting between the two clubs and Houston holds a 36-40-9-2 record against Milwaukee.

Aeros Player of the Week: Paul Albers
11/15 at PEO, 1-2=3, tallied first goal (PP) of season, had two assists
11/16 at QCY, 0-0=0, had two shots in 4-0 loss
Paul Albers scored his first professional goal and added two assists in the Aeros 3-1 win over Peoria Friday night. The game also marked Albers first multi-point game of his career.
TEAM NOTES
- The Aeros have won four of their last five home games after starting the season 0-3 at Toyota Center.
- LW Peter Olvecky had a four-game scoring streak snapped on Saturday at Chicago. He had three goals and three assists in those four games including the Aeros first multiple goal game of the season.
- Houston was shutout on Saturday against Chicago for the first time since February 18, 2007. Ironically, Chicago shut the Aeros out that day 8-0.
- The Aeros two-game win streak came to an end on Saturday. The team has not won more than two consecutive games in over a year. Their last winning streak of more than two games was a five-game streak ending November 17, 2006.
- Defenseman Jon Awe played in his first game for Houston after being called up from ECHL Gwinnett. Awe finished with three shots in the game against Chicago Saturday night.

Minnesota leads the Northwest Division with a record of 11-7-0-2, leading Colorado by one point. The 24 points puts the Wild at third in the conference with Detroit leading the way at 29 points.
Last week the Minnesota Wild went 2-2-0-0 winning one on the road in Edmonton and defeating Colorado last night 4-1 at home. Former Aero G Josh Harding (3-4-1) stopped 27 of 28 shots allowing only one goal. The four goal scorers last, Aaron Voros, Matt Foy, Stephane Veilleux and Brent Burns, night have all spent time with the Aeros.
The Texas Wildcatters of the ECHL went 1-2 in the three game set against Elmira this past weekend. Texas won 6-3 in Friday night's contest and lost 4-1 Saturday and 2-1 last night in the shootout. The Wildcatters (9-2-0-2) lead the South Division and the 20 points is tied for the league lead.

Friday:Barry Brust stopped 43 of 44 shots as the Houston Aeros won their second straight game 3-1 Friday night against the Peoria Rivermen at Carver Arena. Defenseman Paul Albers scored his first professional goal and had a three-point (1-2=3) night for the Aeros. Martin Kariya scored the lone goal for the Rivermen and the season series is now tied at one game each. The Aeros will head to Chicago tomorrow night to take on the Wolves at 7:00 PM at Allstate Arena.
Saturday:Robert Gherson stopped all 27 shots he faced as the Chicago Wolves defeated the Houston Aeros 4-0 Saturday night at Allstate Arena. It marked the first time this season that the Aeros have been shutout. Brett Sterling had a goal and an assist and Jesse Schultz added two assists and the Wolves still have not lost a game in regulation (13-0-1-0).
Barry Brust stopped 15 of 19 shots for his first loss in the last four games. The Aeros will head home for three games next week at Toyota Center starting on Tuesday, November 20th against the San Antonio Rampage.
