
Flames Play Four Games In Five Nights As Busy November Continues

Moline, IL- The Flames are busy on Thanksgiving week as the team plays four games in five nights. On Tuesday night, Quad City wraps up a five-game road trip with a game in Milwaukee. The Flames host Iowa for the first time ever on Wednesday. On Friday, the Flames make their first trip to Rockford to face the Hogs. The week wraps up on Saturday with a game at home vs. Peoria.
Last week, the Flames won two of three games as they continued a five-game road trip. On Tuesday afternoon, the Flames secured a 3-1 win over Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena. The Flames suffered a 2-0 shutout loss on Thursday night in Cleveland to the Lake Erie Monsters. The team rebounded on Saturday with a season-high six goal output while also earning the first shutout in team history in a 6-0 win over the Stars at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

Flames Forum at The Blackbear Lounge at The Lodge
The Flames return to The Blackbear Lounge at The Lodge next Monday for another edition of Flames Forum. Host Aaron Roof will be joined by Assistant Coach Scott Allen, Warren Peters, Tomi Maki and David Van der Gulik. The show begins at 6:00 p.m. and can be heard on WYEC 93.9 FM.
Road Game Viewing Party at Bleacher Bums in Davenport and Parkside Grill and Lounge in Moline
The Flames invite fans to follow the team on the road via b2 Viewing Parties at Bleacher Bums in Davenport or Parkside Grill and Lounge in Moline. On Tuesday night, the Flames wrap up a five-game road trip with a game in Milwaukee. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Friday night, the Flames are back on the road as the team travels to Rockford for the first time. The action starts at 7:30 p.m. Drink specials will be offered at both locations. Fans in attendance at Bleacher Bums can purchase $5 domestic pitchers or buckets of beer for $12. Bleacher Bums is located at 3811 N. Harrison Street in Davenport, across the street from Lujack's. Parkside Grill and Lounge is located at 2307 5th Avenue in Moline.

Post-Game Party at Overtime Sports Pub in Bettendorf
Wednesday, November 21st vs. the Iowa Stars 7:05 p.m. at i wireless Center
The Flames welcome fans to the i wireless Center for a Thanksgiving eve showdown with the Stars. It's John Deere Community Night, and tickets are just $10 when purchased at the i wireless Center Box Office. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive John Deere Hats when they enter the arena. After the game, join the Flames for a Post-Game Party at Overtime in Bettendorf.

Flames Blood Drive at the i wireless Center
Friday, November 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The Flames invite fans to participate in the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center Blood Drive on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the i wireless Center. The first 100 fans to donate will receive a Brandon Prust signed poster.

The Flames host the Stars for the first time ever on Wednesday. Quad City earned a 6-0 victory over Iowa in the teams' only previous meeting, on Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena. The win marked the first shutout win in Flames history and the team's highest goal output of the 2007-08 season.

The Flames journey to Rockford for the first time on Friday night. Quad City beat Rockford 5-1 on Opening Night at the i wireless Center.

Flames On WYEC 93.9 FM
The Flames game broadcasts can be heard on FM radio as 93.9 FM WYEC will carry all 80 games, all playoff appearances and the Flames weekly radio show. All four of this week's games will be preceded by the Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show beginning 25 minutes prior to face-off. After the game, stay tuned for the Kinetic Fitness Post-Game Show. The Flames Forum returns to the air next Monday at 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday, November 13th - Quad City 3 at Grand Rapids 1
The Flames secured their third straight victory on Tuesday afternoon with a 3-1 win over Grand Rapids. Curtis McElhinney set a Flames season high with 37 saves in the game and earned first star honors. Tomi Maki, Adam Pardy and David Van der Gulik scored for Quad City as the team improved to 3-0-0-1 on the season vs. North Division opponents. After a scoreless first period, the teams got rolling offensively in the middle period as they combined for 30 shots. Grand Rapid's Darren Helm started the scoring when he netted his first professional goal at 8:10 of the middle frame. Helm shoved a shot past McElhinney for the first goal of the game. The Flames answered back with two unanswered goals in the middle period. Tomi Maki scored his second goal of the night on a Griffins turnover at 14:23 of the period. At 16:01 of the frame, Adam Pardy scored on a point shot to put the Flames in front for the first time. The Flames secured the win just ten seconds into the third period when David Van der Gulik whistled a shot past Griffins netminder Jimmy Howard for his first goal of the year. Grant Stevenson and Tim Hambly earned helpers on Van der Gulik's goal.
Thursday, November 15th - Quad City 0 at Lake Erie 2
The Flames suffered their second shutout loss of the season on Thursday night in Cleveland. Lake Erie netminder Jason Bacashihua stopped 38 shots in earning his first shutout of the season. The loss also snapped a three-game winning streak for the Flames. A goaltending duel carried through the first two periods. Curtis McElhinney stopped all 11 shots he faced in the first 40 minutes while Lake Erie netminder Jason Bacashihua turned aside 21 shots to keep the game scoreless. Lake Erie's Matt Hussey broke up the goaltending duel at 2:22 of the third period when he scored on a feed from T.J. Hensick. The marker was Hussey's fourth of the year and held up as the game-winner. Hensick scored into an empty net with 11 seconds left to secure the Monsters victory.
Saturday, November 17th - Quad City 6 at Iowa 0
The Flames continued their successful road trip on Saturday night in Des Moines with a 6-0 win over the Iowa Stars. With the victory, the Flames improved to 3-1-0-0 on their current five game road trip. Curtis McElhinney turned aside 27 Iowa shots to earn the first shutout in Quad City Flames history. Brett Sutter scored twice including his first professional goal. Krys Kolanos, David Van der Gulik, Tomi Maki and Derek Couture added single tallies in the win. The Flames stormed out to a 2-0 lead after one frame. Brett Sutter scored his first goal on a 2-on-1 rush at 5:29 of the first period. Tim Ramholt and Brandon Prust earned assists on the first professional marker of Sutter's career. Quad City took a 2-0 lead when Krys Kolanos scored on the power play at 12:29 of the first. Kris Chucko hit Kolanos with a cross-ice pass at the Iowa blueline. Kolanos drove the net, deked and beat Iowa netminder Philippe Sauve. In the second period, Quad City extended their lead on goals by David Van der Gulik and Tomi Maki. Van der Gulik netted his second goal of the season at 13:27 of the middle frame following a ferocious goal-mouth scramble during a 5-on-3 Flames power play. Maki added another tally just 45 seconds later when he scored on the rush following a feed from Warren Peters. After 40 minutes, the Flames skated to the dressing room with a 4-0 lead. The Flames struck twice more in the third to set a new season high for goals with six. Derek Couture netted his third goal of the season at 14:44 of the final period, and Brett Sutter added his second of the game with just 1:12 left in the contest.
