(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans' Amerks Go-Kart Challenge raised $843 for AIDS Rochester on Saturday evening. The event, which was held at Inside Track Speedway, included the chance for fans to race go-karts with all of the Amerks.

"Funds from the Go-Kart Challenge will go a long way in making the lives of those with HIV easier and healthier as well as educating those at risk for HIV to prevent the spread of this terrible disease," said Marty Gray, Development Coordinator for AIDS Rochester, Inc.

Proceeds from the racing fees were accompanied by a silent auction to raise money for the local organization. Among the auction items was an autographed Josh Bolton Rochester Rhinos jersey as well as autographed jerseys from the Amerks and the Manitoba Moose.
