
Rockford Grabs A Pair Of Wins Against North Foes

For a second week in a row the Rockford IceHogs' schedule had them playing three games in three nights. The IceHogs took two out of three during Week 7, all on the road against North Division opponents. The weekend jaunt included a win in Toronto over the Marlies, the first home loss of the season for Toronto. Week 8 features three games in three nights once again for the IceHogs, highlighted by their first home game against Quad City in 2007-08.
Friday, Nov. 16: Rockford IceHogs 4 at Rochester Americans 5
Saturday, Nov. 17: Rockford IceHogs 2 at Syracuse Crunch 1
Sun., Nov. 18: Rockford IceHogs 5 at Toronto Marlies 3
Bacon Bits:
Center Martin St. Pierre extended his point streak to seven straight games, an IceHogs season high.
During his point streak, St. Pierre has 5g-10a-15pts.
St. Pierre has 11 points in his past four games (5g-6a).
The IceHogs handed Toronto their first home loss in regulation on Sunday.
Rockford snapped a four-game road winless streak (0-3-1-0) on Saturday in Toronto.
Center Colin Fraser recorded his team season-high third multi-goal game on Sunday in Toronto.
Fraser has scored a goal in four games this season and in three of them, has netted two tallies.
10 of Rockford's first 17 games have been decided by one goal.
The IceHogs are 5-2-2-1 in one-goal games this season.
Rockford is 4-1-1-0 in the second game of back-to-back games and 2-0-0-0 in the third game of back-to-back-to-back contests.
Hot Hog Week 7:
Center Martin St. Pierre was a big contributor in Rockford's three-game week chipping in points in all three games to extend his point streak to seven straight games. The Hogs leading point scorer began the week with three points in Rochester on Friday. Then on Saturday, St. Pierre figured in on both of Rockford's goals in their 2-1 win over Syracuse. Overall, St. Pierre had 2g-3a.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, Nov. 23 vs. Quad City Flames. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The IceHogs and Flames meet for the first time at the Rockford MetroCentre. The first 2,000 fans to the game will receive and IceHogs Championship Ring Statue commemorating the club's Colonial Cup Championship in 2007. The game is sponsored by Dental Dimensions, WTVO-TV channel 17 and FOX 39.
Saturday, Nov. 24 at Chicago Wolves. The puck drops at 7 p.m. The Hogs and Wolves clash for the second time this season in a huge West Division showdown at the All-State Arena. The game is the second of 10 overall this season between the two clubs.
Sunday, Nov. 25 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins. The game starts at 4:05 p.m. The Hogs and Griffins meet for a third time this season. The first 1,000 fans to the game will pick up IceHogs Poster #2 from Pepsi, Medicine Man, Johnson Press and Rockford Register Star. Also, don't forget your skates as Sunday is this season's second Skate With The Hogs following the game.

Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all of the IceHogs regular and post-season games on the Hogs flagship radio station Rockford's Voice, WNTA-AM 1330 and 30 regular season games on ESPN Radio 1380-AM, WTJK. Bud Light Hog Talk returns tonight at Cousin's Bar and Grill! Cousin's Bar and Grill is the site for the IceHogs weekly talk show. Appearing on the show this week is Hogs defenesman Ryan Stokes and forward Gavin Morgan. The show runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T. Bud Light Hog Talk returns to the airwaves as well, as fans can tune in live to 1330-AM, WNTA to catch the show. Come out to Cousin's Bar and Grill to talk Hogs hockey and enjoy some great Bud Light and food specials!
