
Whitney Engen to Throw Ceremonial First Pitch Prior to Tonight's Bisons Game (7:05 p.m.)

Western New York Flash and U.S. Women's National Team defender WHITNEY ENGEN will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to tonight's Bisons game against the Syracuse Chiefs game at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.).
The ceremonial first pitch will take place at approximately 6:45 p.m.
A product of the University of North Carolina, Engen rejoined the Flash in October via trade with the Houston Dash. She was previously a member of the Flash's 2011 WPS Championship-winning team. This summer in Canada, the U.S. Women's National Team went unbeaten in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, eventually defeating Japan 5-2 in historic fashion during the final. Engen made her first appearance back with the Flash on Sunday afternoon, as the team drew Sky Blue FC, 3-3.
Tonight's Bisons game is a Markdown Monday with all tickets just $9 and $1 ice cream and regular popcorn throughout the ballpark. Coca-Cola Field gates open tonight at 6:00 p.m.
The Flash return to action on Saturday evening when Carli Lloyd and the Houston Dash visit Sahlen's Stadium at 7 p.m. ET. Tickets for the game can be purchased at wnyflash.com, or by phone at (716) 655-PLAY or (585) 454-KICK.
