Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons face the Syracuse Chiefs in the first game of a four-game set at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo split their series against Columbus yesterday in a come-from-behind, walk-off win in 12 innings. After this series, the Herd will head to Pawtucket and Syracuse on a seven-game road trip Friday.

vs. the Chiefs

The Bisons are 4-1 against the Chiefs this season. Buffalo swept Syracuse in their last set, winning both games at Coca-Cola Field, July 2-3. This series is the second of three in July between these two teams. They will meet again, July 27-30 in Syracuse. The Chiefs currently trail the Herd by 3.5 games in the 2015 Thruway Cup standings.

Randy Wolf

LHP RANDY WOLF makes his team-high 17th start tonight. The southpaw allowed four runs and six hits over 7.0 innings in a no-decision on July 10 against the RailRiders. Wolf ranks eighth among IL pitchers with a 2.93 ERA, and also leads Bisons pitchers in innings pitched (98.1) and quality starts (8).

MattVP

INF MATT HAGUE went 2-for-6 with a game-tying three-run home run on Sunday - is second in as many nights. The multi-hit game was also his 11th already this month. Since July 1, Hague is batting .426 with 12 RBI and three home runs. Hague's blast tied him for the IL lead in RBI with 60, and he continues to pace the circuit with a .353 average, 123 hits, and a .439 on-base percentage.

Bullpen Bits

RHP CHAD JENKINS holds a 6-1 record with a 1.59 ERA in 21 relief outings. He has not allowed an earned run since June 9...LHP ROB RASMUSSEN extended his scoreless streak to nine outings (8.2 IP) by walking one and striking out three in an inning of work on Sunday.

Roster Moves

INF LUKE SCOTT was placed on the disabled list yesterday. Scott has a .246 average and 24 RBI through 45 games for the Herd this season...INF JON BERTI was promoted from New Hampshire (AA). It is Berti's first Triple-A action since being drafted by Toronto in 2011. Berti hit .263 with 19 stolen bases in 63 games for the Fisher Cats.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (47-47) blanked the Rays 4-0 on Sunday. Marco Estrada dealt 8.0 innings of three-hit ball, while striking out five. Jose Bautista and former Bison Chris Colabello each homered for Toronto. The Blue Jays have an off-day today before a six-game road swing through Oakland and Seattle.
