Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (42-54) dropped the series opener to the Toledo Mud Hens (42-54) by a score of 5-1 on Monday night at Coca-Cola Park.
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fifth as Pigs starter Jason Berken and Mud Hens starter Tim Melville traded zeroes.
In the afore-mentioned home half of the fifth, a pair of walks and an error charged to Toledo 3B Corey Jones loaded the bases with two outs before Melville issued a walk to Cord Phelps which gave the IronPigs a 1-0 lead.

A four-run sixth opened up a 4-1 lead for the Mud Hens as Steven Moya delivered the big blow with a two-run shot, Alexi Casilla plated a run with an RBI double and Daniel Fields came through with an RBI single. The home run was Moya's 14th of the season.
Berken (5-7) gave up four runs (two earned) on six hits to go along with a walk and three strikeouts over six innings of work.
In the top of the ninth, Jones' RBI single extended the Toledo lead to 5-1.
