The Bulls play the opener of a four-game set against the Charlotte Knights in the first series of a season-long 11-game road trip. Durham is coming off a 2-2 series at the DBAP against the Pawtucket Red Sox, and has dropped 18 of its last 28 contests to go from a 2.0-game lead in the IL South to a 4.0-game deficit. Charlotte - the Chicago White Sox top affiliate - is in the midst of an eight-game homestand, coming off a four-game split against the Norfolk Tides. The Knights enter today with a 30-18 record at home, 2nd-best in the IL behind Indianapolis (29-17).
