
Pigs Open Series with Mud Hens

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will begin a four-game set with the Toledo Mud Hens on Monday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch of the series opener is slated for 7:05 p.m.
RHP Jason Berken (5-6, 3.42) gets the ball for the Pigs on Monday. In his last start, Berken was tagged with the loss at Pawtucket on July 11 when he gave up three runs on 10 hits to go along with four strikeouts over six innings of work. The Green Bay, Wis. native is 2-2 with a 2.45 ERA over his last 4 GS. With runners in scoring position this season, opponents are hitting just .179 (14-78) against Berken.
RHP Tim Melville (3-8, 4.93) will be on the bump for the Mud Hens. Melville's last start came on July 12 vs. Louisville when he suffered the loss after allowing three runs on six hits while walking three and fanning a pair in his 6.0 IP. The right-hander has issued 49 walks in 100.1 IP this season.
Monday is a TD Bank Dog Day at Coca-Cola Park and fans can purchase tickets for their four-legged companions for just $1 with 100% of the proceeds benefiting a local canine non-profit organization. Fans that are planning on bringing their canine must purchase a General Admission ticket and will have access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area. There will also be an appearance by Josh Horton, a World-Class juggler presented by Lehigh Valley Electricians Union-IBEW Local #375.
