Kansas City Current News Release
KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Current midfielder Claire Hutton and defender Izzy Rodriguez have been called up by the United States Women's National Team (USWNT) for the upcoming FIFA international window to close out the year. U.S. Soccer announced its 26-player roster on Wednesday as it continues preparation for Concacaf World Cup qualifying in Fall 2026.
After featuring in the Futures Camp earlier this year, Hutton received her first senior national team call-up in February for the 2025 SheBelieves Cup and has since appeared in all four subsequent USWNT camps. Rodriguez, whose first USWNT invitation was in June, earned her second senior team call-up.
The USWNT will face 2025 UEFA Women's Euro semifinalist Italy twice during the final camp of 2025 with both contests kicking off at 6 p.m. CT. The first match will be Friday, Nov. 28, at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Fla., and will broadcast on TNT and HBO Max in English, Universo and Peacock in Spanish and on the radio on Westwood One Sports. The second game will be in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Monday, Dec. 1., at Chase Stadium which will air on TNT and HBO Max in English, Peacock in Spanish and on the radio in English on Westwood One Sports and in Spanish on Fútbol de Primera.
Entering this FIFA window, Hutton has been part of the starting lineup in seven of her nine caps and has recorded one goal and one assist. Rodriguez's international resume boasts one cap and one goal.
Hutton's first USWNT appearance was in the SheBelieves Cup earlier this year when she started against Australia and played 70 minutes. She joined the starting lineup again - and played every minute - in an April friendly against Brazil. Hutton, who was recently nominated for The Best FIFA Women's 11, also put in an 80-minute shift as a starter vs. Jamaica on June 3.
The midfielder had standout performances in the summer international window. She logged a full match against Ireland on June 26 before she registered her first career assist in another friendly with the Irish on June 29. Three days later, the 19-year-old notched her first international goal in the 36th minute in a 3-0 rout of Canada. Most recently, she appeared in all three matches during the October FIFA window, logging 144 minutes with two starts.
Rodriguez's consistent - and impressive - performances during the 2025 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) season caught the attention of the USWNT, and she received her first senior team call-up during the summer FIFA window. She made her debut on June 29 in a 4-0 shutout over Ireland, finding the back of the net in the 42nd minute to become the 23rd player in the USWNT's 40-year history to score in their first cap. She was part of the starting lineup in that match and logged a full 90 minutes.
The defender had donned the red, white and blue on the international stage prior to her USWNT berth. She helped the USA win the 2016 Concacaf U-17 Championship and played at the 2016 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Two years later, she guided the U.S. to a runner-up finish at the 2018 U-20 Concacaf Championship and had two appearances at the 2018 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
