Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month at their final three home games in October.

Pink "Stick it to Breast Cancer" T-shirts and pink pucks signed by goaltender DREW MacINTYRE, the team spokesman for the fundraiser, will be available for purchase beginning on Wed., Oct. 27, when the Wolves host the Oklahoma City Barons at the Allstate Arena at 7 p.m. T-shirts can be purchased for a $20 donation, while pucks are available for a $10 donation.

"Any kind of cancer is scary. My father had prostate cancer and I've had friends and relatives affected by breast cancer," MacINTYRE said. "I have a lot of girls in my family to worry about - two sisters, my wife and a little girl - so I'll do anything to support the cause."

Both items can also be purchased at the games on, Thu., Oct. 28, and Sat., Oct. 30, or by calling 1-800-THE-WOLVES, while supplies last.

On Sat., Oct. 30, the Wolves will use special pink sticks during warm-ups when they host the Rockford IceHogs at the Allstate Arena at 7 p.m.

Following warm-ups, the sticks will be autographed and made available through a raffle and silent auction at the Chicago Wolves Charities table in the Northeast lobby. Proceeds from the raffle and auction will benefit A Silver Lining Foundation, Buy a Mom a Mammogram and Chicago Wolves Charities.

"We continually try to create new ways to fundraise for this cause that affects too many women and families, and create awareness about breast cancer," said Senior Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. "We were very excited that Drew stepped up and is our spokesman for this endeavor, and appreciate his support and the support of our amazing fans."

Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game on Oct. 30 in a show of solidarity in the fight against this disease.
