Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins News Release
Six games, six wins! The Penguins are off to the best start in the American Hockey League, and the second best start in team history! Only the 2005-06 club posted a better reecord out of the gates, going 9-0-0-0 to kick off the campaign.
It's been a total team effort for the Penguins so far. Dustin Jeffrey leads the club with seven points, Joe Vitale paces the Pens with four goals (two short of his total from last season), and Brad Thiessen and John Curry have been sensational between the pipes.
Nine different Penguins have scored goals through the first half dozen games, and 15 skaters have posted points.
And don't look now, but the parent Pittsburgh Penguins just assigned solid defenseman Andrew Hutchinson and bruising winger Eric Tangradi to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The AHL better take notice.
The Penguins hit the road for their next three games, but will be back home on November 6 when they host the Syracuse Crunch. The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive a free Penguins Team Photo, courtesy of Unigraphic Color Corporation.
Don't miss out on all of the excitement. Penguins mini-plans, including 10-Game Flex Packages, are on sale now. Info on Flex Books, 12-Game and 22 Game plans is available here, or contact a Penguins Account Representative at 570-208-7367 for more information.
WIN WINTER CLASSIC TICKETS AT ALL NOVEMBER HOME GAMES
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals will meet in the 2011 Bridgestone Winter Classic on January 1, and
YOU could be there!

To be eligible to win, simply grab a registration form on your way into each home game in October and November, and deposit it into the drawing boxes located behind sections 101 and 108. We'll pick one lucky winner live on camera during the third period of each game through November 27.
