Capitals Assign Jay Beagle to Hershey

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals have assigned center Jay Beagle to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

Beagle, 25, was recalled Saturday and played his first game of the season for the Capitals that night against Atlanta. He has registered one goal and four penalty minutes with Hershey this season. A 6'3", 200-pound center appeared in seven games for the Capitals last season, posting two points (1 goal, 1 assist) and two penalty minutes.
