Martin Gerber stopped 35 shots, including 16 in the third period, for the Barons' fi rst shutout. Shawn Belle and Liam Reddox scored in the second period before Alexandre Giroux added a third-period goal to complete the scoring in OKC's third straight win. OKC improved to 2-0-0-0 against Lake Erie.

The Rampage's Tim Stapleton scored twice in the fi rst 6:06 of the opening period and San Antonio led the rest of the way in a 4-1 win. Al Montoya picked up the win in his second start of the season. Mar- tin Gerber's record dropped to 2-4-0. Liam Reddox scored OKC's only goal at 17:31 of the second.

Nazem Kadri scored 2 goals in addition to 2 as- sists and Joey Crabb added 2 goals plus 1 assist in the Marlies' win. Liam Reddox and Linus Omark accounted for the Barons' goals, each extending a point streak to 5 games. OKC is 1-1-0-0 on the road as Toronto wins its fi rst home game in 4 tries.

Alexandre Giroux scored the winning goal 3:58 into overtime to send the Barons to a 3-2 win in a na- tionally-televised afternoon game at Himilton, Ont. Martin Gerber made 29 saves in upping his record to 3-4-0.

NOTABLE:
- Barons penalty killing has allowed just 3 power play goals in 46 times shorthanded. The 93.5% effi ciency rate is second in the league behind Syracuse's 96.8%. OKC allowed a power play goal yesterday to snap a stretch of 35 straight successful penalty kills spanning 7 full games and part of yesterday's. The Barons' other 2 power play goals allowed came against Houston in the season opener Oct. 9.
- Goaltender Martin Gerber blanked Lake Erie on Tuesday in a 35-save shutout, the fi rst in Barons history. Gerber went 2-1-0 for the week with a 1.96 goals-against average and .933 save percentage.
- Liam Reddox collected 4 points during the week (3 goals, 1 assist), scoring goals in 3 straight from Tuesday through Saturday. Dating to last week, Reddox compiled a 4-game goal streak (matching the league's longest this season) and a 5-game point streak. Both streaks were halted yesterday at Hamilton.
