Moose Assign Prab Rai to Victoria

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have assigned forward Prab Rai to the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL.

Rai, 20, is entering his first season in professional hockey. In five seasons in the Western Hockey League, the Surrey, BC native scored 228 points (98g, 130a) in 300 games with Seattle and Prince George. His best season came last year when he scored 69 points (41g, 28a) with the Thunderbirds. He was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the fifth round, 131st overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The Moose now head out on the road for seven games beginning Friday, October 29th at Lake Erie against the Monsters. Game time is 6:30pm CST and can be heard live on CJOB with Brian Munz beginning at 6:05pm CST.

The next time the Moose play at MTS Centre will be Friday, November 12th when they host the Rochester Americans at 7:30pm CST.
