TOLEDO - The Toledo Mud Hens defeated the Louisville Bats 6-5 in 10 innings in walk-off fashion on Friday night at Fifth Third Field.
Spencer Torkelson tallied two singles and an RBI, including the walk-off RBI single in the 10th inning. Jamie Westbrook lead the way offensively with three hits, including a home run and two RBI, while scoring twice. Andre Lipcius picked up two hits, including a double and an RBI. Daz Cameron picked up a double and an RBI. Josh Lester notched an RBI single for his 80th RBI this season. Ali Sanchez picked up a double for his lone hit.
Ricardo Sanchez got the start for the Mud Hens, pitching 4.2 innings, allowing four runs on 10 hits, one home run, one walk and four strikeouts. Miguel Diaz would follow Sanchez, pitching 1.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits, one home run, one walk and three strikeouts. Zac Houston pitched 1.0 inning, allowing one hit and one walk. Luis Castillo pitched 1.0 inning, allowing one hit and one strikeout. Nick Vincent pitched a perfect 9th inning, going 1.0 inning, notching three strikeouts. *Miguel Del Pozo *pitched 1.0 inning, striking out two batters and picking up the win, making Del Pozo 5-2 on the season.
*What's Next - *The Toledo Mud Hens will play host to the Louisville Bats for game five of the six-game series at Fifth Third Field on Saturday night, with first pitch coming at 6:35 pm EST.
