Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - Tickets for the international friendly match between the Houston Dynamo and LigaMX power Cruz Azul are on sale now. Ticket prices start at $25 and are available online at HoustonDynamo.com or by phone at 713-276-GOAL (4625).
The match is presented by SMM Sports & Entertainment and is part of the SocioMX Tour.
All Houston Dynamo 365 Members will automatically receive their tickets for the match as part of their membership, which includes exclusive benefits, Members-only loyalty pricing, gifts, and year-round experiences and events. Annual memberships start as low as $30 per month.
The Houston Dynamo and Cruz Azul previously met in 2017 at BBVA Stadium for a mid-year friendly that was a high-scoring and entertaining match that featured goals from Vicente Sánchez, Mauro Manotas and Dylan Remick for the home side, and five goals from Cruz Azul.
This year's edition has another interesting storyline, with new Dynamo head coach Tab Ramos facing off with his former teammate Robert Siboldi, the current manager for Cruz Azul. The two coaches were both members of the 1995-1996 Tigres UANL team, with Siboldi as the goalkeeper and Ramos as a midfielder.
A perennial power in their league, Cruz Azul have the fourth-most LigaMX championships with eight, and the club's six continental titles make it the second-most successful club in the history of Concacaf Champions League. The Dynamo have been five-time participants in the Champions League. Along with their historic heritage, Cruz Azul brings numerous notable players to the pitch, including Mexican national team members Jesús Corona, Adrián Aldrete, and OrbelÃn Pineda. All three players were influential in Cruz Azul claiming the League Cup last season, and bring CopaMX, Concacaf Champions League, Gold Cup, and Olympic experience to the table.
